Paintings for Flower and Gardening Books: Cynthia Newsome-Taylor

This exhibition featured 75 botanical and horticultural illustrations by Cynthia Newsome-Taylor (also Mrs. Peter Hunt). Included were watercolors, color plates and preliminary sketches for Arthur George Lee Hellyer, Flowers in Colour (London and New York, 1955), Garden Plants in Colour (London and New York, 1958) and Shrubs in Colour (London and New York, 1965); Thomas Rochford and R. Gorer, The Rochford Book of House Plants (London, 1961); and James Silver Dakers, Greenhouse Plants in Colour (London, 1962). A short catalogue accompanied the exhibition.
