2nd International Exhibition of Botanical Art & Illustration
20 October 1968 – 15 April 1969
This exhibition featured 20th-century botanical paintings, drawings and prints that had been acquired by the Hunt Botanical Library since its 1st International exhibition in 1964. Included were 362 items by 126 artists from 26 countries. An added feature was the inclusion of examples of illustrations published in books, periodicals, calendars, greeting cards and textiles, thus affording the opportunity of close comparison of reproductions with the original from which each was reproduced. A catalogue with biographical data, portraits of the artists and reproductions of the artworks accompanied the exhibition as well as a short guide for gallery visitors.
