Selections from the Hunt Institute Collection

Rare, original botanical paintings and prints dating from the 16th through 19th centuries were on display at the Institute for the summer. The exhibition was composed of selections from the Institute's outstanding collection of paintings and prints. It included work by some of the most celebrated and popular botanical artists of the period, including Pierre-Joseph Redouté, Pieter Casteels, Johann de Bey, Basil Besler, Maria Sibylla Merian, Georg Dionys Ehret and Clara Maria Pope.
